Ok, let's talk favorite makeup products. If you've stuck around here long enough, you've seen that my number one can't live without product is mascara. Well, coming in at a ridiculously close second is lipstick. It might seem kinda funny considering how I used to have a fear of any sort of color on my lips. Now I can't seem to live without at least 4 lipsticks in my purse at all times. So I thought, why not share some of my favorite oranges for the Fall season. Who am I kidding? I wear orange all year-round. I think these shades would look fantastic on so many skintones!

1. MILANI Color Statement Lipstick - Sweet Nectar

Milani has become one of my go-to drugstore makeup brands. It's super affordable and the quality is fantastic. I actually bought mine for five bucks and some change, but I've never seen them anywhere costing more than $6, since it's primarily carried in CVS, Walgreens and Walmart. Target used to carry it, but discontinued it in favor of NYX. This is such a vibrant medium orange color and it's actually the first orange I ever bought two years ago. I've been obsessed with it ever since. The formula is very smooth and creamy and the product smells like watermelon. It's also pretty opaque, so there's no need to over apply for coverage.

2. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren

If you're looking for something slightly more subtle, maybe Siren will be a bit more up your alley. The formula is a bit more sheer, so it can be built up to a brighter intensity if you want, but a light swipe will give you a nice wash of color that comes off almost a peachy coral color because of the red undertones. It feels nice and moist on the lips but after a few hours, it can get a bit dry. It's not unbearable though.

This one is a little pricier than the others, but out it is a wonderful color. It's an orange-red with a matte finish, so there is no shine to it once it sets on the lips. Pigmentation is excellent and it doesn't skip or look patchy when you apply it. Compared to a lot of matte formulas, this one is pretty creamy and avoids tugging on the lips.  However, if you have chronically dry or flaky lips, you might want to exfoliate and moisturize beforehand because this will catch on every single flake. If you're looking for a drugstore alternative for half the price, I hear Maybelline's Neon Red is close, but it isn't a matte finish.

4. Maybelline New York Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick, Rose Rush, $6

One of the newest colors I've added to my collection is Rose Rush from Maybelline's Rebel Bloom Collection. The color is, again on the coral side and leans orange on me in person. The formula  is nice and smooth, has a bit of shine to it and is slightly translucent, so some of your natural lip color will peek through. It's almost like a gloss in lipstick form. One of my favorite parts is that it didn't settle into all the lip lines that I have.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of all 4 colors.

Well my loves, that's all I have for you today. What's your favorite orange shade? If you're not into orange, stay tuned because I'm working on other colors for a lipstick series! Which color would you like to see next? Hit me up at the links below and share the details!
