Product Review: Gerard Cosmetics Star Powders

I'm excited to share these  highlighters with you today because they have been a staple in my makeup routine since I got them. I know, I know. Highlighting gets hyped so much and you're probably over it, but listen. These... these are worth it.

Gerard Cosmetics has been on the scene for a couple of years now. You may have heard of them on YouTube since people like Jaclyn Hill and Missy Lynn have had lipstick collaborations with them. I didn't jump on the train til late last year when a friend of mine was selling some stuff she hardly used. I couldn't pass up a deal, so I grabbed these Star Powder highlighters.

On the Gerard Cosmetics website, each powder is priced at $29, but with a little assistance from Google, it is not hard to find a discount code.

Currently, coupon code GERARD40 is valid and will save you 40% off. I'll tell you right now, that if you decide to buy two of them, it's cheaper to buy the individual ones rather than the Power Couple set that they offer.

The collection is kind of fun because it's named after vintage Hollywood starlets. There are seven available colors, The shades I have are Marilyn and Lucy, but there are also Brigitte, Sophia, Dorothy, Grace, and Audrey.

  • Marilyn is a pale yellow gold while Lucy is a gorgeous rose gold.
  • The formula of these powders is extremely smooth and creamy.
  • They aren't chalky or powdery at all.

You can see that the pigmentation is great as well. Something that shouldn't be discounted either is the really pretty, reflective gold packaging.

It is a bit bulky but I really like that it comes with the little inside cover to protect the product a bit better if you accidentally drop it.

Overall, I'm very pleased with these highlighters. I've worn both shades as highlighters and also eye shadows.  Lucy is my absolute favorite alone or even over blush. Marilyn looks spectacular layered over a liquid or cream highlighter. The product wears perfectly for 6+ hours on me and they're well worth the money with a coupon code. I'm interested in getting Dorothy and Brigitte soon and when I do, I will definitely update you on my direct shopping experience with Gerard Cosmetics.

Well, that's all I have for you today, my loves! Tell me which one of these is your favorite. Do you have a favorite highlighter?  Find me at the links below and let me know about the product you can't live without!
