How To Use Coconut Oil As Makeup Remover

Makeup is awesome. I can't even tell you how much time I spend daydreaming about colors and different combinations. That's literally my favorite part. I love trying to figure out how many different ways I can make a yellow eye shadow work. When I come up with a makeup look that works, it is incredibly satisfying.

The other incredibly satisfying part?

Washing it off.

I'm not even kidding.  Something inside of me gets giddy at the thought off washing off that fierce lipstick and being able to rub my eyes.

It's very real around here.  So, how do I achieve this euphoric feeling? I use coconut oil as a makeup remover! Seriously-- a jar is super cheap and little will last you for-freaking-ever, it dissolves even the most stubborn mascara and those hard-to-remove liquid lipsticks.  I use it as part of a double cleansing method of sorts.

1. I smear the coconut oil all around in a circular motion on my face until all my makeup is  dissolved and I look like a monster.
2. Wash with my regular cleanser, sometimes twice.
3. Continue with my usual routine.

There are some people who can use coconut oil successfully as part of an oil cleansing regimen, but I'm not one of them. If I don't use some kind of soapy cleanser afterward, my skin eventually revolts against me.

Afterward, my skin is all clean and ready for the next day of color combinations.

Well my loves, that's all I have for you today. Have you ever tried coconut oil as a makeup remover? Do you have another oil that is your favorite? Tell me about it in the comments below! As always, feel free to hit me up at the links below because I always adore talking to you!
