5 Insanely Easy Mascara Hacks for Big Lash Results

I have a problem. I'm not sure how many of you share this issue with me, but I need to put it out there. Are you ready?

I have four open tubes of mascara... and I use them all.

I can't help it. I love mascara. It's the one thing I can't leave my house without, yet I can't remember the last time I finished a full tube. It's a bit ridiculous really. But I am not ashamed.  You see, my current go-to is Covergirl False Lash Drama, but I like to try different formulas. Lengthening, defining, waterproof ( I've yet to find a waterproof one that I love) and sometimes, I layer all four of them to create mega lashes. The thing I've learned is:

Almost nothing about mascara matters more than the wand.

True, some formulas are just bad. (Pixi, I'm looking at you) However, think about why you buy your favorite brand. You like the way it applies. Yet, you can't  apply it without a wand... so hey, there's some logic for you! Anyway, I have a tip that should help me you cut down on the tubes in your makeup stash and save you some time during your routine:

Change the way you hold your wand to maximize your favorite mascara and get your most awesome lashes!

I know that you already curl your lashes before applying it, which helps greatly. But I promise you that this works.

1.  Clean the excess product off your wand to ensure that you get a nice thin layer.

2.  For thicker lashes, hold your wand horizontally and wiggle from side to side as you work from root to tip of the lashes.

3.  For longer lashes, hold the wand vertically and use the tip to work from the root of the lashes and pull upward.

4.  Always apply multiple thin coats and allow the product to dry in between each one. This helps to minimize clumping.

5.  If you want both,  just alternate the technique for each coat

Well loves, that's all I have for you today. What are some of your favorite tips and tricks for awesome lashes? What's your favorite mascara?  Let me know down in the comments section. Sharing is caring!
